    Covid Vaccination Clinic

    Covid Vaccination Clinic The Surgery will be holding a Vaccination Clinic for our patients on 6th January 2022. To book an appointment please phone the Surgery on 02897 510575. To be eligible it needs to be more than 3 months since your 2nd vaccine and you cannot have tested positive for Covid in the past 28 days.

    We will be closed on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th December 2021 as will the Community Pharmacy and will re-open at 8.30am on Wednesday 29th December 2021. We will also be closed on Monday 3rd January 2022 as will the Community Pharmacy.

    Self Certification for sickness

    Please be advised that Self Certification temporary changes from now until 26th January 2022 Normally employees can self certify sickness absence for the first 7 days, to enable GP's to focus on the COVID 19 Booster Programme this has temporarily changed so employees can self certify for 28 days. For a new sickness or illness please do not contact your GP for a Med 3 certificate instead download and print off a copy of the self certification form. If self isolating and unable to work because of COVID 19 please get an "Isolation Note" online from NHS 111. For further information please go to www.gov.uk/coronavirus

    Controlled Drugs/Pain Medications

    Due to the high rates of drug abuse and accidental death in NI secondary to some pain meds e.g. Pregabalin and Gabapentin we have been requested to avoid commencing these medications by the Health Board and review all those people taking these and other controlled analgesic medications over the next year.

    The Future

    We are in a fortunate position in this Practice to have so many additional Staff present for our patients to consult directly with i.e. our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, diagnostic Physiotherapist, Social Workers, Mental Health Workers and Practice Pharmacists. They have made an invaluable contribution to patient care over the last 18 months.
