    Vaccination Programme

We have currently vaccinated over 2,500 patients in at risk groups at date of writing and we will be continuing to contact each group as per Health & Social Care Board instructions each week. The number of patients we can call each week is limited by the small supply vaccine we get each week. If you are age 50 or over and have not yet received a vaccine through us or through one of the Regional Vaccination Centre's, please phone the Surgery to obtain an appointment.

    Zero Tolerance To Abuse

While we have been heartened by many words of encouragement, patience and random acts of kindness from the majority of patients throughout the last 12 months, Staff have on occasions recently, unfortunately, been subject to abuse and verbal aggression on the telephone, in person and via social media platforms. Please be aware we are all trying to do our best and the NHS has a Zero Tolerance Policy to abuse of any kind to all Staff. Many of whom have been working long hours tirelessly throughout this pandemic, with frequent cancelled leave and working in PPE in all weathers both indoors and outdoors to provide the best service possible. Please do not use Social Media to make complaints about the Practice Staff or Service. Any issues or concerns please contact the Surgery and speak to the Practice Manager. We can then discuss and investigate the issue.

    Telephone information

The telephone lines are extremely busy, if you are on hold for more than 10 minutes please hang up and phone again. We ae part of the wider South Eastern Trust phone system, calls can get "lost" in queues and loops and this is out of our control. The South Eastern Trust are aware of the ongoing issues with the phones but please be assured it is NOT our staff hanging up the phones or cutting the calls off. When you phone the Surgery to request a telephone call with any of the Medical Professionals, the Receptionists will ask you to give a brief description of what the call is in relation to, this is not for the Receptionists own information, this is for the relevant professional to have an insight into the problem before they phone you back.
